Upholding the Core Values of Our Society

This lesson plan is translated and adapted from Module 3 of the ICAC’s ‘Life and Society Teaching Package for Junior Secondary Students’, which is related to Core Module 23 (Upholding the Core Values of Our Society) and Extended Part SSC03-X (Clean, Honesty and Integrity) of the ‘Life and Society Curriculum Guide (Secondary 1-3)’ of the Education Bureau.  Teachers are welcome to use the lesson plan for the teaching of ‘Life and Society’ and other relevant subjects at the junior secondary school level.

Through different classroom activities such as analysis of survey data and discussion of various scenarios based on real cases, the lesson aims at enhancing students’ understanding on the level of probity in Hong Kong, the importance of keeping Hong Kong corruption-free to the overall development of the society, as well as how ICAC’s law enforcement work upholds the values of probity and integrity in Hong Kong.
