The idea and design of the Programme is based on the following four beliefs: Integrity, Creativity, Art and Collaboration.
Integrity
Young people have not come across the bad old days where corruption was rampant and may not envisage the sufferings it could cause to the society. It is therefore important to promote the core value of probity among our younger generation to better prepare them to resist the temptation of corruption in future.
Through engaging activities, opportunities are provided for young people to consolidate their commitment to upholding the values of integrity throughout the process.
Creativity
Knowing the characteristics of young people with a passion for creativity, the Programme taps their talents and innovative mind to design activities appealing to youngsters.
The Programme provides a platform for our young partners, namely ICAC Ambassadors and “i-League” members from tertiary education institutions, “i-Teen leaders” from senior secondary schools, and members of the Youth Chapter of the ICAC Club, to combine creativity and integrity education and show their commitment in integrity building.
Art
Art has no limits, and is welcome by people of all age and background. The Programme conveys positive values such as integrity to the youth through artistic activities, e.g. handicraft fair and workshop.
Integrity messages will be expressed in different art creation (e.g., painting, photography and performing art) through the perspectives of the youngsters.
Collaboration
Each small piece of art work, carrying an important integrity message of its own, will be assembled and exhibited as collaborative art piece.
The upholding of the core value of integrity is also a collaborative effort. From individuals to families, schools, organisations, and eventually the entire community, it takes the perpetual and concerted efforts of all to strengthen our integrity culture.
To engage more young people to participate in the ICAC’s corruption prevention work so as to pass on the probity culture to next generation through popular creative art activities;
To further explore the talents of our young partners, namely ICAC Ambassadors and “i-League” members from tertiary education institutions, “i-Teen leaders” from senior secondary schools and members of the Youth Chapter of the ICAC Club with a view to securing their continuous support in the anti-corruption cause through diversified channels; and
To enlist public support, especially among the young people, for the work of the ICAC.
